More Veggies During Pregnancy Lowers Baby's Risk of Diabetes

According to a new study in Pediatric Diabetes, women who eat fewer vegetables during pregnancy are more likely to have babies who develop Type 1 diabetes (previously known as juvenile or insulin-dependent diabetes). Compared to women who ate vegetables daily, those who consumed them three to five times a week had a 71 percent higher risk of having a baby with diabetes.
